Sanctum of The Damned

Sanctum of the Damned is my Final Major Project done during my last term at De Montfort University, Leicester. This project started on January 12th of 2024 and the submission date is May 10th. This is my submission post. I will continue to work on this and some personal projects for our Degree Show in late June.

I took on the role of a Technical Artist and collaborated with Environment Artist James Mewett.

Below will be a list of everything I have worked on for this project:
- Custom Sky Sphere
- Dynamic Weather System featuring Day & Night Cycles, utilizing the UE5 Blueprint System.
- Water/Ocean Shader.
- Interactive Puddles when in the rainy weather preset and footstep trail inside the snowy weather preset.
- Interactive Foliage which detects collision and deforms accordingly - also features grass wind.
- Interactive Fire (Fades out when you walk past it, fades back when you are away from it)
- Automated Landscape Material with multiple customization options featuring Landscape Painting and RVT Blending.
- Rock Shader with multiple customization options featuring barnacles, erosion, and wetness changes.
- Fire, Snow, Rain and Mist Particle Systems featuring flipbook textures, collision events, done in UE5 Niagara.
- Spline Tools as requested by James.
- Customizable Fog Volumes.
- Customizable Volumetric and 2D Clouds.
- Rain Post Process Material where raindrops appear on screen when in the rain.
- Functional Main Menu System/Start Screen
- Custom Modules for particles to follow player camera and particles to spawn inside camera view at a distance.
- Finally I used Anim-Notify, Enumerators, Data Structures, and Data Assets to combine everything into one cohesive system inside of Blueprint.

As I mentioned earlier, I will be working on this and trying to improve as much as possible. If you have any ideas or would like to give me feedback I'm always open to discussion. Thank you all for checking out my work :)
